Big Sisterz
We facilitate youth group “Big Sisterz” who come together to share experiences, taking part in creative projects that support their mental well-being.
Much of this work is about enabling the girls to be creative, expressing themselves, their thoughts and feelings through different artistic mediums. It is also about learning about each other, and making friends in the process.
We are passionate about exploring different cultural experiences and locations with the group, which has seen us visiting local landmarks like Clifton Park Museum and Bakewell in Derbyshire. Through these adventures they have written film scripts, explored photography and drawing, and even made bird boxes and bug hotels!
Recently the group dedicated several weeks to organising a VE Day celebration at Masbrough Sea Cadet Building, creating bunting, pom-poms, and invitation cards during their craft sessions. It was a great success and we were incredibly proud off their achievements.
